Rose Float Events, Volunteer Opportunities Offered During ‘Deco Week’

There are many events happening now ahead of the 126th Rose Parade:

Decorating

Most float decoration will take place from Dec. 27 at 9 a.m. to Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. at various locations throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Some float organizations may have already started. Volunteers are needed every year to help add material to the floats ahead of the big day. Volunteer decorating opportunities are organized by the float builders. Commercial Floats:

• Fiesta Parade Floats – Located in Irwindale, 16016 Avenida Padilla, Irwindale, CA.
• Phoenix Decorating Co. – Two locations in Pasadena, Rose Palace: 835 South
• Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, CA -and- Rosemont Pavilion: 700 Seco Street, Pasadena, CA.
• Paradiso Parade Floats – Located in Pasadena, 16016 Avenida Padilla, Irwindale, CA.

The Parade itself begins January 1 at 8 a.m. in Pasadena. Following the parade is the post-parade Showcase of Floats beginning at 1 p.m. at East Sierra Madre at Washington boulevards. Tickets are required.
