A yellow status means:

  • No evacuation orders in effect.
  • Rain-related parking restrictions in effect.
  • Residents directed to remove vehicles, trash bins and other obstructions from streets and/or travel lanes as they will be subject to tow or removal by authorities.
  • No restricted entry to impact area/potentially impacted areas.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11 a.m. today. That threat of thunderstorms will continue into the night, mostly before 11 p.m. The chance for showers will diminish to 20 percent Thursday, leading to mostly clear skies by Thursday night, the NWS said.
