A nurse at Glendora Community Hospital was arrested Thursday night, accused by his patient of inappropriately touching her, police said.

The nurse, 54-year-old Geroncio Tesoro, from La Verne, was arrested by police at Glendora Community Hospital, 150 W. Route 66 and booked on suspicion of battery within a hospital setting after being alerted by staff, police said.

Police were dispatched to the hospital at 8 p.m. In addition to inappropriate touching, Tesoro is also accused of making inappropriate comments to the victim, who is in her mid-20s, said Lt. Matt Egan of Glendora Police.

Tesoro was released from the Glendora jail on a citation. Court date information was not available through county booking records.

Glendora Community Hospital, formerly known as East Valley Hospital Medical Center, was renamed after being acquired by Prime Healthcare Services in May of 2014.

Glendora Community Hospital was the original name of the facility before changing to East Valley.
