Applications Being Accepted For Citizen’s Academy

The Glendora Police Department will begin class 31 of their Citizen’s Academy Wednesday, Sept. 23 and applications are now being accepted.

The Academy is free to those who work or live in Glendora and to Citrus College students who are at least 18 years old.

All applicants must submit to a record and warrant check. The class is limited to 25 students.

The Academy has graduated over 600 students since its inception and is a way for residents to familiarize themselves with everyday functions of the Glendora Police Department, including radar enforcement, dispatching, fraud and identity theft, traffic stops, the K9 unit, social media and more.

The Academy is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for 12 consecutive weeks every Wednesday.

The deadline to submit applications is Friday, September 18.
