BREAKING NEWS: Driver Struck, Killed on 57 Freeway In Glendora

A driver exiting his vehicle was struck and killed Thursday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol is reporting.

The man was reportedly killed around 12:32 p.m. on the transition road from the northbound 57 freeway to the westbound Interstate 210 freeway. According to traffic logs, the man exited his white older model sedan on the right shoulder of the connector road and was struck by a big rig.

One passerby reported seeing the injured man with his head “open and bleeding everywhere,” according to CHP traffic logs.

The dead motorist is described as only wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.

The CHP has issued a Sig Alert on the northbound 57 transition road to the westbound 210 freeway for an unknown duration.

Glendora Police are also being requested to help. Officials with the Office of Medical Examiner/Coroner are also en route.

The driver of the big rig is possibly still on scene during the investigation.
