Charter Oak Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Los Angeles

Sheriff’s Deputies in San Dimas report the arrest of a man accused of repeatedly stabbing a female acquaintance last week in the Charter Oak area.

Peter Cooley, 24, was arrested Aug. 8 just before 6 p.m. by officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division. Cooley is being held without bail, according to county booking records.

Cooley was arrested by the LAPD on a reported attempt kidnapping in the LA area, according to Sgt. Nicole Davis of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station.

The LAPD Central Division was unwilling to divulge over the phone details of Cooley’s arrest or details of the alleged attempt kidnapping in Los Angeles. Phone calls to LAPD Media Relations were unanswered.

No further information was available.

Cooley approached the 23-year-old female victim as she was skateboarding with her friends at the Tri-Community Adult School, 20350 E. Cienega Ave. August 3.  Cooley stabbed the woman multiple times unprovoked after the two made eye contact, according to Lt. Elisabeth Sachs of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station.
