BREAKING NEWS: Motorcyclist Killed On Arrow Hwy

UPDATE, 3:35 p.m.: The California Highway Patrol has reopened all eastbound lanes of Arrow Highway after a motorcyclist was killed after striking two vehicles.

The rider of a white Kawasaki Ninja was westbound Arrow Highway approaching Sunflower Avenue at excessive speeds around 12:04 p.m. when a black Volkswagen CC exiting a south facing driveway entered the westbound No. 1 lane in front of the rider, said Sgt. John Alanis of the Baldwin Park CHP office.

The rider hit the right rear bumper of the CC, swerved into the rear of a stopped Volkswagen Jetta at the north curb line and slid underneath the Jetta, Alanis said.

Glendora Police officers were first on scene and rendered CPR to the rider, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, Alanis said.

As of 3:12 p.m., all eastbound lanes have reopened, according to CHP Traffic Logs.

PREVIOUS: The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly collision between a car and motorcycle Saturday afternoon.

The collision occurred on westbound Arrow Highway just east of Sunflower Avenue after 12 p.m. The rider of a white motorcycle was struck.Both the CHP and Glendora Police have traffic shut down around the intersection of Sunflower a.d Arrow Highway.

The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner-Coroner was en route from LA.
