Flappy Jack’s, located on Historic Route 66, has been serving up pancakes to Glendora since 2002. In 2011 they opened a second location in City of Orange, but Glendora was the original restaurant.

Besides traditional dishes, Flappy Jack’s large menu consists of some specialty items such as gluten free pancakes and waffles, skillets and even a fitness menu for those looking for healthier alternatives.

The Village Eatery came in 2nd place and remains a go to spot in the Glendora Village. Owners Don and Donna Nolan have owned it since 2006, taking over after Don had spent most of his career in other aspects of the food industry.

While keeping the menu from the previous owner, they also built on the steady clientele by adding some fun elements including seasonal dishes like pumpkin pancakes, more homemade desserts, increased private and corporate catering and even host murder mystery dinners, which are often sold out.

Just down the street from The Village Eatery, we find our 3rd place winner, Ed’s Place. Ed Tracy bought the restaurant for the second time back in 2007 after previously owning the Dutch Café in the same location.

Around 2009 Ed changed the name to Ed’s Place, citing most customers preferring to simply use his name when referring to frequenting his restaurant anyway. According to Ed and his staff, the best selling dishes are spinach omelets and the country scramble.

Congrats to all the winners but don’t let these results discourage you from continuing to enjoy your favorite breakfast spots, whichever they may be. Below are the results from the voting.
