Police Arrest Driver Behind Nov. 18 High Speed Chase

The man who led Glendora Police on a chase into West Covina three days ago was found and arrested after trying to escape officers again, this time on foot.

Police arrested 25-year-old Alan Jimenez November 20 in the 100 block of West Route 66 after receiving a call at 7:20 p.m. of a subject jumping out in front of traffic, said Lt. Rob Lamborghini of Glendora Police.

Jimenez reportedly fled on foot, but he was eventually located and detained nearby, Lamborghini said.

Jimenez was found in possession of burglary tools, stolen forged checks and stolen credit cards.

He was booked on suspicion of felony reckless evading, obstructing an officer, making a false report of a crime, being under the influence of a controlled substance, jaywalking, illegal possession of tear gas, identity theft and receiving stolen property.

Jimenez was also booked on an outstanding warrant.

Jimenez in being held in lieu of $85,000 bail. His initial court date is scheduled for November 24 in the West Covina Courthouse, according to county booking records.
