Police arrested the occupants of an SUV Friday afternoon after one of the subjects, a teenager, attempted to flee from police.

A resident reported a suspicious SUV parked in the 1200 block of East Swain Street around 5 p.m. Police approached the 2002 Chevy Suburban and a 16-year-old boy fled from the vehicle, said Lt. Scott Strong of Glendora Police.

The teen boy was captured a short distance later and the 20-year-old female driver was detained inside the SUV, Strong said.

Glendora officers determined the SUV was reported stolen out of Baldwin Park.

Strong said police were unaware of the suspects’ intentions in Glendora.

Arrested was Sureily Rodriguez, 20, from Baldwin Park. She was booked on suspicion of vehicle theft, receiving known stolen property, grand theft, hit and run and theft. She is being held in lieu f $50,000 bail.

The teen’s identity is being withheld because he is a minor.
