Spend an evening at Rubel Castle and give to the Glendora Welfare Association this May to help those in need.

“An Evening at the Castle” is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Proceeds from the 2nd Annual Fundraiser will fund the organization’s effort to provide direct services to Glendora’s less fortunate.

The event will include hors d’oeuvres, wine, games, and live entertainment. Tickets are $50 per person.

Since 1958, The Glendora Welfare Association has provided direct services including transportation, shelter, food, clothing, and utility bill assistance. In 2015 alone, Glendora Welfare provided services to 444 individuals, which includes 144 Children, 310 Adults, 31 Seniors, 26 Single Moms, 24
Disabled, 15 Homeless, and 106 Extremely Low Income clients, organizers said in a written statement.

Glendora Welfare offers direct services, such as transportation, shelter, food, clothing, and utility bill assistance.

“The importance of Glendora Welfare to our clients may be the difference between lending a hand, or them falling through the cracks in our community,” said Miles Bresee, Glendora Welfare Association President.
