Children’s Hospital Book Drive Ends Next Wednesday

Khloe and friends being honored with donated books at America's Christian Credit Union

The ‘Stay Fearless Khloe Book Drive’ will end next Wednesday, April 27, so there is still time to drop off books. We posted the details a few weeks ago when it began and have extended the deadline.

This is the second year of the book drive, which is for Glendora residents to join 7-year-old Khloe in raising books to help the kids at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Books must be new due to the guidelines for the hospital and the sensitive nature of the children in treatment.

Last year with the help of Khloe’s friends, family, supporters, Glendora schools, girl scout troops and the Glendora community we were able to raise almost 1,500 NEW books for the Literally Healing Department at Children’s Hospital LA!

Many businesses have joined forces to help as well. Recently Khloe along with her family, friends and many other supporters met together at America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU) in Glendora to help her promote the book drive. ACCU employees put together the local promotional event for Khloe and were excited to announce to Khloe that they had raised over $100 and over 110 books, so far.

ACCU is partnering with Chick-Fil-A in Azusa who is donating 20 gift cards to Chick-Fil-A to those who contribute books to the ACCU drop-off location. Raffles have also been donated by Toni Bushey for 5 PiYO classes and Tina Schneider for a Spin 360 prize.

Drop Off Locations are:

America’s Christian Credit Union – 2100 E. Route 66, Glendora, Ca. 91740

Here is the video we did for Khloe’s first book drive last year while she was going through treatment. Since then, despite having her eye removed, Khloe is cancer free and continues to want to help other children going through difficult times. Please join us!
