No injuries were reported after a small fire broke out in a room at the Glendora Grand nursing facility Thursday afternoon.

A contents fire ignited in a resident’s closet around 2:50 p.m. The facility’s sprinkler system doused the fire almost immediately, but firefighters still evacuated 40 residents from the east building of Glendora Grand as a precaution, said Matt Briones, engineer with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

There was no word on what exactly sparked the fire.
