The search for a 5 year-old girl abducted earlier from her Glendora school has ended.

According to Glendora Lieutenant Matt Williams, the girl was located safely in Irvine with her mother, who was arrested by Glendora Detectives.

Detectives had followed leads since the School Principal was able to get them a vehicle description and license plate.

The Detectives tracked her to La Verne, where she apparently switched vehicles. Somehow they were then able to get a trace that she was in Orange County shortly thereafter.

Detectives sat on a location and finally made contact with the mother in Irvine, near the 5 and 405 interchange at a Wal-Mart.

The mother, 31 year-old Breanna Arsenault, will be charged with 278.5(PC). Arsenault is apparently in the middle of a possible custody dispute and was not allowed to have custody of her child. No other adults were found with them and reports of others involved have not been confirmed.

Friday morning, just after 9:30am, Sellers Elementary Administration notified Glendora Police of a kindergartener taken by her mother, without permission. You can read the original story HERE.
