Another day, another crash on Glendora Mountain Road. A Ford F150 was involved in a solo traffic collision reported just after midnight.

According to Glendora Police Captain Joe Ward, the vehicle was traveling southbound and for unknown reasons hit the guardrail, launching the vehicle over it.

The truck ended up on its side, pinned between trees and the hillside. The male driver was able to exit but it appears the passenger may have been pinned momentarily. The gender of the passenger was not known to GCN at the time of this story.

The truck caught fire at some point but responding Glendora Police Officers were able to extinguish the small flame quickly before Los Angeles County Fire Fighters arrived on scene.

The passenger was flown to an area hospital as a precaution but the injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which occurred just south of Big Dalton Canyon Road. Speed and/or road conditions may have contributed to the accident.
