GPD Catches Two Car Burglars Near Glendora Mountain Road

Glendora Police detained two car burglars this morning that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were looking for.

According to Glendora Lieutenant Matt Williams, this morning at 6:57am, a car burglary up Glendora Mountain Road was reported near mile marker 12.5. This area is in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s jurisdiction. GPD was also notified.

A short time later, Glendora officers found a vehicle matching a description of the suspect’s vehicle, parked near Glendora Mountain Road and Boulder Springs Drive. Officers immediately searched the area around the vacated car and found a female suspect nearby on Fountain Springs Lane and detained her.

A male suspect was then found along Sierra Madre Avenue and also detained by Glendora officers.

The Sherriff’s department was notified of the suspects being detained by Glendora Police. Sheriff’s officers conducted a search of the suspect’s vehicle, which produced evidence of the earlier car break in up GMR. Both suspects were then arrested by the Sheriff’s Department.
