11th Annual Food for Thought Event gets a Speakeasy Theme

Mark your calendars for the Glendora Education Foundation’s Food for Thought SPEAKEASY! Now in its 11th year, there’s a fun new twist…the event will take you back to the Roaring 20’s. There will be flappers, floozies, and yes, we’ll still be fundraising to support Glendora Schools! This is an event not to be missed.

Over a decade ago, the Food For Thought Dinner and Auction began as a fun way to get the community involved in addressing the State’s education budget cuts. Since then, this event now draws close to 400 enthusiastic attendees, and the live and silent auctions have raised a total of over $1,000,000.  Art Ludwick continues to be the awesome auctioneer and every year the event has been more successful than the last.  Fantastic food is provided by a variety of local eateries; and this year, a live performance by The Blue Note Orchestra is sure to keep the evening filled with excitement. There are over 120 alluring silent and live auction items and the evening has become one of Glendora’s social highpoints.  Now, as the State has readjusted its education budget, fundraising efforts will continue to focus on moving Glendora’s classrooms into the 21st Century.

Food for Thought has been made possible by Glendora’s generous community, including the community members and businesses who donate their time, talents and amazing auction items; and the passionate attendees who come together to make Glendora’s education the best it can be. If you’re interested in purchasing a corporate table or gathering friends to go in on a shared table, please contact events@glendoraedfoundation.org. Individual tickets are also on sale NOW! The Foundation’s Food For Thought has sold out the past couple of years, so mark your calendars now! This single evening is the Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year and is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate together and raise money for our schools. Click here for more information.
