SNAPSHOT: County Crews Clear Out Debris Basins Ahead of 2nd Storm

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works published images today of crews hauling tons of mud from the debris basins above Glendora.

The mud removal project began Dec. 9 and is expected to last for four weeks. Trucks will haul debris between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

City staff has made available the truck routes LACDPW will use during the project:

Hook West & East

Harrow

Englewild

The initial mud removal project was put on hold last week due to the pacific storm that rolled through the San Gabriel Valley and dumped around 1.5 inches of rain on Glendora.

Anyone with questions or concerns can call the Longden Yards Facility Engineering Unit at (626) 445-7630 Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. After hours calls can be made by dialing (626) 485-HELP.

You can also email questions and concerns to ezargari@dpw.lacounty.gov.
