Another example of community support for our school districts was shown today when the Rotary Club of Glendora awarded 45 grants to 68 teachers in the amount of $18,600.
This marks the 31st year that the Rotary Club of Glendora has sponsored min-grants to teachers in both the Charter Oak and Glendora Unified School Districts. These funds have come in the form of donations from local businesses as well as people in the community.
Thom Hill hosted the event at the Glendora Unified School District Board room. Those in attendance included Superintendent of Charter Oak USD Mike Hendricks, Superintendent of Glendora USD and various other administration from the districts to help honor the recipient teachers.
All elementary, middle and high schools in the City of Glendora had teachers who received the mini-grants.
