Citrus Avenue Extension Officially Opens

Azusa Mayor Joe Rocha cuts the ribbon officially opening the Citrus Avenue extension, surrounded by officials of both Glendora, Azusa as well as nearby APU and Citrus College.

Today marks a big change in area traffic around the colleges going into Rosedale, and most notably, the APU/Citrus Gold Line Station.

City officials from both Azusa and Glendora joined at 10am today to officially open Citrus Ave. for traffic heading north into the Rosedale community. You may know that previously Citrus Ave. wrapped around Citrus College turning into Foothill Blvd, a literal dead end going North.

Glendora Mayor Gene Murabito thanks the work of both cities and the crowd in attendance.

The new intersection will have a stop light and allow traffic to continue from Citrus Ave. north into Rosedale and into the APU/Citrus College Gold Line Station. As of now, the station was only accessible by Sierra Madre from the north, or Palm Drive from the west in Azusa.

Although the current signals are temporary, the permanent ones along with street signs have been delivered and will be installed next week.
