The Glendora Police Department along with the Glendora Home Depot, teamed up this week to help a victim of domestic violence.
The woman, who has three small children, was victim of a physical domestic violence incident that led to damage to her home. Her clothes dryer was broken during the incident, Glendora Corporal Matt Fenner said.
The husband remains in jail and members of GPD wanted to help the woman, now alone caring for her children. The department approached our Home Depot here in Glendora for help.
Home Depot immediately stepped up and donated a brand-new dryer to the victim and her family. While the details are not known, they also donated many fun and interactive things from the store to the children.
GCN would like to thank our local Home Depot as well as the Glendora Police Department for going above and beyond.
