Suspect Arrested Involving St Lucy’s Priory High School Campus Threats

On today’s date, Thursday, May 24, 2018, the Glendora Police Department arrested a person whom we suspect sent threatening letters to St. Lucy’s Priory High School in Glendora.

The arrest came as a result of an active and rigorous investigation by our department’s detective bureau with the support and cooperation of St. Lucy’s Priory High School Principal, faculty, staff and students.

While the arrest of Magaly Esmeralda Alvarenga, female 39 years old, of Rialto occurred earlier this afternoon the investigation is still in progress; therefore we are not releasing details at this time. Alvarenga was arrested for three counts of Criminal/Terrorist Threats with a $700,000 bail.

The Glendora Police Department remains dedicated to the safety of our schools and our community; we will remain vigilant at all of our schools throughout this graduation season.
