No you didn’t miss Glendora Schools Week. The Glendora Education Foundation is trying something new this year. Instead of cramming our restaurant and retail fundraisers into one week, we are doing them throughout the year. The Foundation hopes this will allow more restaurants and retailers to participate and make it easier for families to get out and support without breaking their wallet.
This month the Foundation will be hosting a restaurant fundraiser at Mauricio’s Mexican Food and Pizza. Mauricio’s has become one of Glendora’s favorite local Mexican fares, and now they have a second location in Covina on Arrow Highway. The great thing is that you can dine at either restaurant to support the Ed Foundation’s fundraiser! Dine at Mauricio’s any of the remaining Mondays in October and show the event flier and Mauricio’s will donate 15% of their proceeds back to the Ed Foundation. Mauricio’s has been a long-time supporter of the Foundation, helping with various fundraisers and events throughout the year. These events allow GEF to support and sustain programs at Glendora schools.
