Glendorans can participate in a day devoted to appreciating and protecting the city’s natural wonders during Earth Day on Saturday, April 18.
The free event will feature shuttle tours to Glendora’s Nature Center and participants will be treated to a narrated eco tour of the city. Residents can enjoy an eight-mile community bike ride, children’s bicycle safety rodeo and one-mile ride, an animal magic show, treasure hunt and live music.
Many workshops will be on hand to demonstrate efficient irrigation for gardens, solar power, energy efficiency, food gardening, collections for used motor oil, filters, expired medicines and document shredding.
Recyclables will also be accepted to help raise funding for Glendora schools.
The event will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Glendora City Hall, Glendora Public Library and the Village Plaza.
