Zak Bushey is the founder of Glendora City News.
Bushey has spent 13 years in the realm of real estate, first as a loan officer. He currently works as a Realtor for Southland Properties in Downtown Glendora.
A ‘96 graduate of Glendora High School, Bushey received his Associates Degree from Citrus College.
Bushey also volunteers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He is active in many community groups, serving on the Board of Directors of the Glendora Chamber of Commerce as well as the Inaugural President of the Glendora Alumni Association.
He has also started social media efforts including the Glendora Jobs Connection and handles social media management for local restaurants such as T. Phillip’s Alehouse, Maria’s, Cosmo’s Bistro and Frisella’s. In 2013 he was the Social Media Director for the successful campaign of Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey.
“I started Glendora City News as a way to bridge the gap between residents and current decisions, community events and breaking news. Glendora, as a small city, deserves a virtual forum where residents can congregate to get up to date community information and have a voice.
“As communication gets faster in our world, social media has made it very easy for people in both large markets and small, to share information with their neighbor or across the world instantly and simultaneous.
“This method is the backbone of why Glendora City News was founded on Social Media first, rather than just a traditional website.”
