UPDATE, 2:27 p.m. Glendora P.D. has raised the alert status to yellow for the Colby Fire Impact Area as a precaution ahead of the approaching storm. Although city officials do not anticipate any issues, they would like residents to be aware.
PREVIOUS: Los Angeles County is expected to get some precipitation this week amidst an unseasonably-warm September.
The National Weather Service predicts anywhere from one-quarter of an inch to an inch of rain from Monday, September 14 to Wednesday, September 16, with the heaviest rainfall hitting the coastal slopes and possibly along the foothills. As of now, we have no word if the City of Glendora will raise the alert status to yellow in the Colby Fire Impact Area.
Monday will see a 70 percent chance for rain after 11 a.m. and a 60 percent chance for rain by nightfall. Much of the same is expected for Tuesday, according to the NWS.
Wednesday is expected to bring only a 20 percent chance of rain all day and into the night.
Thursday is expected to be sunny and no snow is expected in the mountains from this storm.
