If you are intent on only turning pets over to No Kill Shelters, here is some information. Keep in mind that found animals turned into other places other than INHS may make it more difficult for the owner to locate them upon searching.
As a reminder, legit shelters should be:
- -Certified as 501(c)(3), which is a nonprofit designation
- -No Kill
- -They don’t try and sell pet insurance
- -All Animals being adopted out will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped
- -These shelters allow tours of their facilities
- -They work with local Humane Societies and SPCA to adopt out animals from them
Here are some NO KILL shelters in the area:
DeltaRescue.org -Located in the high desert but has an office in Glendale
RetrieversAndFriends.com -Located in Temecula
LabradorsAndFriends.org -Located in San Diego but adopt and place all over
