The past several weeks we have had the privilege to help several businesses with their celebrations such as Visiting Angels 15 year anniversary, Dance Street West’s 30 year anniversary, the opening of the Village Networking Group, Fit Body Boot Camp’s 3 year anniversary, and the opening of PrimeLending / Davis Team’s second branch office location.

The Glendora Chamber of Commerce co-hosted an Evening Mixer & Celebration for Visiting Angels’ 15-year anniversary! Visiting Angels has been a full-service senior homecare agency in Glendora for 15 years providing a comprehensive range of non-medical services on an hourly basis.

Dance Street West 30-year Anniversary

Glendora, CA, 18th of February, 2017 – Today, the Glendora Chamber of Commerce celebrated with Shannon Lancaster, owner of Dance Street West (DSW), on her 30-year anniversaryDance Street 30 of her dance studio in Glendora. DSW is a premier Dance Studio in Glendora, where they have been “Creating Beautiful Dancers since 1987.” At the celebration was also a Dance Off Fundraiser for one of Lancaster’s students who is fitting Cancer. Funds raised are still being tallied as they are still coming in.

As a Performing Arts Center, Dance Street West’s goal is to provide a professional environment both in the classroom and business functions. Their staff creates a center for the student that motivates with compassion, fairness and approachable form of teaching.  Dance is an art form and they strive to bring to each style and class the newest, cutting edge curriculum while still maintaining impeccable technique is the foundation for a great dancer. A friendly, uplifting environment creates an arena for growth and development for all ages and all levels. They love what they do and desire to share their Passion.

Ribbon Cutting for The Village Networking Group

Village Networking Group_Ribbon Cutting_Glendora Chamber (1)The Glendora Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for The Village Networking Group (VGN), a local Networking Group aiming to grow their businesses, where they believe “It Takes a Village.”

Certificates from the State, the City of Glendora and the Glendora Chamber were presented to The Village Networking group President Anthony Macias along with members Michelle Sherwood, Greg Malally, Waffie Ibrahim, Mary Bermudez, Erika Banos, Merrill A. Hanson & Joe Boyer. Representing Senator Anthony Portantino is Marco Lundgren, and from the City of Glendora is Mayor Pro-Tem Gary Boyer. From the Chamber Board Member Zak Bushey, and Ambassadors Diedre Young, Justin Khoury, and Kenny Nguyen along with Administrative Assistant Amy Elzik and President/CEO Joe Cina.
VNG is a non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of California and dedicated to assist business growth and development for their members. Any person, association, corporation or partnership having an interest in the objectives of this organization is eligible for membership where only one profession may be represented by each member.

Ribbon Cutting for Fit Body Boot Camp

The Glendora Chamber of Commerce hosted a Ribbon Cutting for Fit Body Bootcamp, a local fitness center in Glendora. Fit Body Bootcamp is about delivering personal trainer designed and lead

With hundreds of Fit Body Boot Camp locations worldwide, their mission is focused on their “2020 vision,” which is to expose and engage 20 percent of the world’s population to a healthy and fit lifestyle by the year 2020.

Fit Body Boot Camp was represented by Owner Alexander Gibson and Manager Stephanie Carrillo, along with many fellow staff and community members. From the office of Senator Grace Napolitano was Representative Bob Pence. The City of Glendora was represented by Assistant to City Manager Valerie Escalante, Mayor Pro-Tem Gary Boyer, along with Councilmembers Karen Davis and Mendel Thompson. From the Glendora Chamber was Chamber Board Member Ken Salzman, and Ambassadors Diedre Young, Laura Gonzales, Karen Colasanti and Keith Van Vliet. Chamber staff present were Membership and Events Coordinator Michele Street and President/CEO Joe Cina.
