A 23-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon after reportedly hitting several vehicles throughout Glendora, police reported.
The suspect reportedly struck several vehicles on his route and was eventually located in his vehicle in the 600 block of South Lemar Park Drive. He was given a series of field sobriety tests, which he failed, said Lt. Matt Egan of Glendora Police.
Officers responded to the first call of a hit and run collision at 2:41 p.m. at North Lone Hill Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
While the exact number of collisions was not immediately known by police, there was at least a second reported collision at Lorraine Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, Egan said.
The extent of damage was not immediately known. No injuries were reported, Egan said.
Owner of Southland Properties and City Council candidate Gary Boyer witnessed the suspect speed through the intersection of Lorraine and Foothill. Boyer estimated the suspect was speeding at 60 to 70 miles per hour.
“He passed on my righthand side and he ran a red light at Lorraine and hit a couple of cars,” Boyer said. A southbound car on Lorraine had its front end clipped by the suspect who kept going.
Ulysses DeLeon was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood-alcohol content of .08 or greater, driving under the combined influence of alcohol and drugs and hit and run. DeLeon is being held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
