Glendora Goes Green After Rains Subside

With plenty of sun greeting residents Tuesday morning and no threat of rain in the near future, city officials have lowered the Colby Impact Area alert status to green.

According to provisional data provided by city staff, from Feb. 28 to March 3 Glendora received just over a half inch of rain. Brief periods of hail accompanied the series of storms as well.

“The storm provided some pretty sizable spikes in rainfall, but nothing sustained or breaking the threshold levels,” city staff said.

A green status means:

  • No evacuation orders in effect.
  • No rain-related parking restrictions in effect.
  • Residents encouraged to monitor weather conditions and be alert to changes.
  • No restricted entry to any city/county areas.
