BREAKING: Glendora Police Set Large Containment After Home Burglary

UPDATE, 5:18 p.m.: Glendora Police announced the arrest of a second suspect in the home burglary from Tuesday afternoon.

Cpt. Joe Ward of Glendora Police told GCN that so far a female Hispanic and female Black were arrested. Two male Blacks are still outstanding.

Ward was unable to provide a further description on the outstanding suspects.

Police determined the incident was not a home invasion robbery, but a home burglary, Ward said.

At 2:36 p.m., a home was burglarized in the 800 block of West Leadora Avenue. Police are unsure yet if both incidents are releated, Ward said.

PREVIOUSLY: Glendora Police Officers have set a wide perimeter near the 600 block of East Palm Drive to search for home invasion robbery suspects.

Officers have set a large containment north of Palm Drive from North Easley Canyon Road to Glencoe Heights Drive. A police helicopter is helping to search for possible suspects.

According to police broadcast traffic, Glendora PD requested the copter’s presence to search for alleged home invasion robbery suspects in the 600 block of East Palm Drive around 3:15 p.m.

Many officers are busy with the search and are unavailable to confirm information.

GCN Founder Zak Bushey is on scene and observed police arresting at least one female suspect around 3:52 p.m. More suspects are possibly outstanding.

Police have just released a message via their Nixle alert system to call 9-1-1 if residents see or hear anything suspicious.
