The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works has closed Glendora Mountain Road ahead of Red Flag conditions and expected high winds in the local mountains.
Glendora Mountain Road from East Fork Road to Big Dalton Road and Glendora Ridge Road to Mt. Baldy Road will close today, April 15, and possibly reopen Friday, April 17.
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory to remain in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday, April 16. North to northeast winds from 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected and gusts of 50 miles per hour are also possible.
Winds are expected to peak in strength Wednesday morning and diminish by the afternoon. The winds should return by nighttime and persist into Thursday.
