Officials with the Angeles National Forest are seeking the public’s involvement to help shape work continuing with the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument.
Public comment is requested for a Need to Change analysis, which compares President Obama’s Presidential Proclamation which created the Monument to current management direction with the ANF Land Management Plan.
The deadline to submit public comment is July 27.
Work being done will determine the scope of the Monument Plan, officials said on the U.S. Department of Agriculture website.
Public comments will be accepted at any time, but comments submitted after the designated deadline may not be fully considered, officials said.
