Honey by J Bee, is an affordable and trendy women’s clothing, accessories and shoes store that focuses on modern aesthetics. With a bright pink neon sign, it’s hard to miss the new flagship of downtown Glendora.

Jade Dasaad grew up in a small community in Glendale where she felt never had a young women’s store that sold trendy and cute clothes, aside from the ones at the mall.

Dasaad worked relentlessly to successfully open in Glendale, and succeeded. But she wanted to continue expanding, and saw Glendora was in a similar situation as Glendale, and decided to partner up with her best friend Marissa Sanchez and open up a second store right in downtown Glendora.

She primarily promoted her business on Instagram, to help bring in customers to both locations.

Honey will be holding an after Christmas sale, it beginning Tuesday and lasting till New Years, featuring a new deal every day.

Drop by Honey by J Bee Tuesdays-Fridays 11-7, Saturdays 10-7, and Sundays 10-4, at 100 N Glendora.

New Again Furnishings, a homey gathering place, features beautifully repurposed home décor that exude a casual elegance.

After teaching sixth grade science for 30 years, Joann Label decided to open New Again Furnishings and devote her time to collecting items and repurposing them. Her work first appeared in various shops, before Label struck out on her own and set up shop this past July.

Label has lived in Glendora all her life. Her husband and father once had their own businesses, and her grandfather designed the city seal; naturally, she chose to start up her own business where her roots were deep.

Label has been busy working day in and day out, giving all her items a handmade touch to them. All the items featured in New Again-those not repurposed by Label-come from people in Glendora, contributing to her warm sense of community.

She is grateful that her “family and friends have encouraged [her] to do this,” and sees it as an immense blessing.

Visit New Again Furnishings Thursdays and Fridays from 11-5, and Saturdays 10-4, at 1200 E. Route 66.
