The family of Ernesto “Neto” Medina, the Nevada man whose body was found shot to death on a private access road north of Sunflower Avenue Oct. 23, is still left with few answers as to why his life ended in Glendora.
Since that time, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau has not released any additional details of the murder.
Sergeant Dan McElderry, one of the detectives on the case was still unable to release any additional information to Glendora City News regarding Medina’s murder, only saying the case is an ongoing investigation.
A relative of Medina, who wished to remain anonymous, spoke to Glendora City News.
Medina, a landscaper in Henderson, Nev., was reportedly visiting California. The relative saw Medina for one last time before he left for California.
Medina decided to stay in the state a little longer and spent time with some trusted friends in Pomona.
“There was no reason for him to be in Glendora. I believe he was taken there out of his comfort zone. I’m sure many people had a grudge against him. He was handsome, confident, respected and well known,” Medina’s relative said.
His family and friends have set up a gofundme page to help with the burial costs.
Anyone with additional information regarding the investigation, is asked to contact Sergant McElderry of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Homecide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
