It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Sandburg students sought to share the joy with boys and girls at the City of Hope.
‘Christmas 4 Kids’ is an annual Christmas tradition done by Sandburg for the last 25 years. ASB advisors Kristy Espino and Kristy Carrigan facilitated the event, along with the Administration and Secretaries.
Students donated money during a one-week period, and raised a grand total of $2607. The Azusa Target chipped in as well, and contributed a $500 gift card, bringing the total to well over $3,000.
With this money, the students took on the task of buying gifts, and delivered the packages last Thursday to the children at City of Hope in hopes of spreading Christmas joy and holiday cheer.
There is no contest and no reward other than the knowledge that they have done a good thing, they have helped someone to enjoy the holiday season”, Sandburg Counselor Lori Boyer wrote in a statement.
The holidays are upon us, and the festivities are just beginning. So spread the kindness and joy and just maybe, Santa will leave something more than just coal!
