The victim of an alleged hit and run drunk driver from our earlier story, has died of his injuries. The victim’s name has not yet been released.

Shortly after 10am, Glendora Police received calls of a traffic collision in 1600 block of South Grand Ave, near Juanita Ave.

Upon police arrival, it appears a driver going northbound on Grand Ave struck a parked vehicle, pinning one male victim in between vehicles. The victim was out of a vehicle, doing work on it at the time of the accident.

The male driver fled the scene but was located and detained just a short distance later according to PIO Tricia Ayers of the Glendora Police Department. It appears that the suspect may have been driving under the influence.

The male victim, age is unknown as of the story, was transported to Pomona Valley Hospital with life threatening injuries. He died of those injuries very soon after arrival to the hospital.

Arrested was 29 year-old Mark Gagliardi of Claremont. He is being charged with Driving Under the Influence, Felony Hit and Run as well as Vehicular Manslaughter.
