Administrators with the Glendora Unified School District will not be closing schools near the foothills during the approaching storm.
Classes will remain open at all campuses, especially Goddard Middle School, which rests near the outer edge of the Colby Fire Impact Area, 859 East Sierra Madre Avenue. Goddard will be having a previously-scheduled early release for students Tuesday, Dec. 2, said Robert Voors, superintendent.
Phone notifications will be made to parents today.
The National Weather Service predicts the storm will hit the Glendora area by 3 or 4 a.m. Tuesday, with the strongest portion of the storm hitting the area around 10 a.m.
