No Injuries Reported After Toppled Trees Smash Vehicles

Sleeping residents were shocked this morning after discovering their vehicles were smashed by fallen trees from last night’s winds.

Reporter Zak Bushey was on scene at the Parkwood Place Apartments, 1330 East Foothill Boulevard, Wednesday morning.

Two vehicles were affected by the falling trees in the apartment parking lot. A white Camry was virtually flattened by one tree, while a tan Ford Explorer suffered a little less damage.

A 70-foot-tall Eucalyptus tree toppled over near Valley Center Avenue, ripping up the sidewalk and grass as if they were a carpet.

Tree trimming crews report a second tree partially toppled over with the Eucalyptus tree, but it cannot be cut down until it completely falls.
