Three men were arrested Friday afternoon, accused of attempting to break into a home in the north end of Glendora, police said.
A neighbor witnessed the three men attempting to break into a home in the 700 block of North Yucca Ridge Road around 1:29 p.m. The three men had left the location in a vehicle, but officers spotted them soon after and eventually arrested the suspects.
Two of the suspects were seen in the rear yard of the home, while the third suspect was seen at the front door, said Sgt. Mike Randazzo of Glendora Police.
The three men then left the location. Under what circumstances the men left was not immediately known, Randazzo said.
Soon after, officers located a similar vehicle matching the description given by the eye witness. Officers detained the suspects in the 100 block of North Barranca Avenue and were able to identify them as the attempt burglary suspects.
Police located items in the suspects’ possession used as burglary tools, Randazzo said.
Arrested were Vinh Tran, 31, Freddie Smith, 36, and Walter Horne, 36. All three were booked on suspicion of burglary and being in possession of burglary tools. Smith was additionally booked on driving with a suspended license.
Tran and Horne are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail, while Smith was released on $50,000 bond, according to police arrest records.
The trio is scheduled to appear at the West Covina Courthouse Feb. 18.
