Crews with Southern California Edison have reestablished power for all but one of the customers affected by the outage earlier tonight.
The power outage affected many businesses in the Glendora Marketplace starting just before 8 p.m. A representative from Southern California Edison said 109 customers were without electricity, with Gladstone Elementary School, 1314 W Gladstone St., being the remaining building without power.
The Edison representative was unable to give a cause for the outage, but many Glendora City News followers reported seeing a bright blue flash against the night sky when the power went out.
Southern California Edison crews were busy working on a power pole on Shellman Avenue just South of Gladstone Street.
A handful of Marketplace businesses along Lone Hill Avenue still had power, such as In N Out and Coco’s Bakery.
A few Marketplace Patrons were still driving in to the darkened shopping center while the vast majority of shoppers had already left. Most of the affected stores had already locked up.
Power had been restored to the Marketplace around 9:07 p.m.
