The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for the eastern San Gabriel Mountains, including the Colby Fire Burn Area effective until 8 p.m.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to hit the Los Angeles region today and tonight. Any storms that hit the area have the potential to bring heavy rainfall, with up to one to two inches of rainfall and flash flooding, according to the National Weather Service.

Mud, debris flows and rockslides are also possible in the Colby Fire Burn Area.

In an email alert, city officials said the Colby Impact Area Alert Status will remain green.
