Officials announced Thursday that due to the Santa Ana Winds affecting the mountain regions and the high fire danger, Glendora Mountain Road and Ridge Road will be closed this weekend.

Glendora Ridge Road will be closed all the way to Mt. Baldy, while Glendora Mountain Road will be closed from Big Dalton Canyon to East Fork Road until Monday, November 2, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.

A wind advisory was issued for Southern California, warning of moderate to strong winds across the area through midday Friday.

Mountain areas could get gusts of up to 50 miles per hour, while others could get winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour, with gusts of up to 35 miles per hour, the National Weather Service said.

There is the increasing likelihood that gusty winds could affect normally sheltered areas, such as the foothill communities along the Interstate 210 freeway, the National Weather Service reported.

A red flag warning was also issued for Los Angeles and Ventura county mountains until Friday evening.
