A wheelchair-bound woman was struck and injured by a car Monday night.
The woman, whose age was not immediately known, was struck by a northbound car at Sunflower Avenue and Gladstone Street around 8:31 p.m. The woman was knocked over, but only ended up with minor scrapes, said Sgt. Marty Barrett of Glendora Police.
The woman’s wheelchair was reportedly not very visible to drivers, Barrett said.
A representative from the Los Angeles County Fire Department told GCN that animal control was also dispatched to the scene, but it was unclear what type of animal might have been involved in the crash.
