The male driver behind the wheel of a stolen U-Haul truck remains on the loose Friday after leading Baldwin Park Police on a blistering fast pursuit into Glendora.

The pursuit terminated in the 300 block of North Lone Hill Avenue where the street dead ends into the hills. Baldwin Park and Glendora Police officers searched with the help of a helicopter, but could not find the suspect.

Baldwin Park Police located the stolen truck in the area of Frazier and Tracy streets around 12:52 a.m. The pursuit moved through West Covina, Covina and into Glendora, said Lt. Shawn Blackburn of the Baldwin Park Police Department.

“There was a small containment, but based on the area our officers were not familiar with, we didn’t get a containment set up fast enough,” Blackburn said.

The pursuit sped along Badillo Street through the mentioned cities for most of the chase, sometimes reaching 120 miles per hour, according to police broadcast traffic.

The truck, reported stolen out of Baldwin Park, was recovered at the scene.
