A 23-month-old boy was hospitalized as a precaution Monday after briefly falling into a swimming pool.
The boy was with family members in the 400 block of West Lark Spur Lane around 6:53 p.m. when he fell in. The boy was in the pool for likely between 10 and 40 seconds before being pulled out by family, police said.
The boy went in the pool with his grandfather, who turned his back for a second when the child fell in, said Lt. Scott Strong of Glendora Police.
The child’s parents were also at the residence when the incident took place.
“[The boy] seemed to be OK, but he was transported as a precaution,” Strong said.
