Move over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, nonprofits are once again doing a push to pull at the heartstrings of Americans by doing an annual day of donations.
Giving Tuesday, often used with the hashtag, #GIVINGTUESDAY is once again aimed at helping some local nonprofits in Glendora, notably the Glendora Education Foundation (GEF) and the Glendora Public Library Friends Foundation (GPL).
We at Glendora City News encourage anyone interested in taking part in this annual drive, to consider these two local groups that support our community and make Glendora great!
An anonymous donor has offered to match all donations to the Glendora Education Foundation today, making the total donations double instantly. Last year the Foundation raised over $425,000 to help all Glendora public schools and our students. These donations can be earmarked for the school of your choice in the process. You can donate to them at the following link. www.glendoraedfoundation.org/give
You may also simply text your gift amount to 626-691-9876. To designate your gift to a school or multiple schools, include the school name(s) in your text: CULLEN, LAFETRA, SELLERS, STANTON, SUTHERLAND, GODDARD, SANDBURG, GHS, WHITCOMB.
There is also a fun page set up with a personal video message from the principal of each school.
The Glendora Public Library Friends Foundation is also taking donations today to help support programs and services at the library. Their link to donate can be found at the following link. https://www.gplff.org/
