Investigators have released the names of a man and woman killed in a deadly freeway crash in Glendora that injured five others Wednesday.
Viridiana Salinas Rivera, a 24-year-old Pasadena resident, and Jorge Abarca-Ramos, a resident of El Monte, died in the crash, said Investigator Kristy McCracken of the Office of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
Rivera and Abarca-Ramos were the occupants of a white Toyota pickup that was involved in the crash, along with a maroon Hyundai and a white Ford work truck in the westbound lanes of Interstate 210 freeway east of Lone Hill Avenue around 9:40 a.m.
Of the five injured, two were listed in critical condition and flown to an area trauma center for treatment. The other three were listed with minor injuries and transported by ground, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Both sides of the 210 freeway were temporarily closed to allow the helicopters to land.
An age for Abarca-Ramos was not available.
The crash is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
