According to Corporal Shawna Cello of the Glendora Police Department, at 7:32 this evening a police pursuit of a suspect began in Glendora after a license plate was reported stolen. For unknown reasons, the suspect purposely turned his vehicle to ram the officer in the area of Dale Rd and Bonita Ave, just north of Arrow Highway.
At some point the officer, most likely injured from the accident, did fire at least one shot at the suspect but it was not confirmed how many rounds were fired. It does not appear that the suspect was hit and is still at large, thought to be in the area.
There is a containment and search for the suspect ongoing as of this story. The containment involves the entire neighborhood from Arrow Highway to Gladstone Street and Barranca Avenue to Grand Avenue.
GCN will continue to update this story as details become confirmed from the Glendora Police Department directly to us.
