A man was stopped by police early Saturday and was found allegedly carrying two weapons with him.

An officer on patrol saw the man walking in the 1500 block of South Glendora Avenue around 3:36 a.m. and conducted a pedestrian check. The officer learned the man was on parole and during a subsequent search, the officer located two handguns in his possession, said Lt. Egan of Glendora Police.

Arrested was Moses Alderette, 23. His city of residence was not immediately available. Alderette was booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of firearms and for violation of his parole.

Alderette is being held without bail. He is scheduled to appear in the West Covina Courthouse July 26.
